Pretty comfortable right out of the box. I played 18 holes the first time I wore them and they were pretty comfortable overall. The tongue of the shoe rubbed my ankle a little but nothing severe. I'm sure it will soften up with additional wearing. That was my only discomfort, and it was so minor that I have not had second thoughts about these shoes. They cleaned up well, and I'm happy with them.
