What a lovely pair of shoes. I'm so sad I have to send them back. It's the shoemakers fault. As another reviewer mentioned the ankle strap on this shoe does not seem to go up with the shoe size. I ordered a wide, so you'd expect the whole thing to incorporate the wide approach to the foot and ankle. Nope! The strap across the toe was wonderful, but I could not buckle the ankle strap. It needed just a few more centimeters of strap. This shortfall seems downright stingy because the upper foot/ankle strap are a continuous loop and if you insert more holes and give a little more length everyone can be happy, both the skinny ankles and the cankles (can't have ankles)folk. Overall comfort was wonderful and I cried as I gently placed them back into the box to be returned. If you have skinny ankles and are looking for a comfortable and cute shoe these are the ones to get. For wide feet people, the wide is really nice and the strap across the toe has plenty of room, but if your ankles aren't skinny, then the shoe isn't going to fit.

I don't often write reviews, but after reading some others, I had to. I can't believe some of these people have the same shoes I do. First I have to say I love the shoes. The problem I have is not the shoes fault. I have a problem walking in them on some floors, but that is because I usually wear shoes with a higher heel. I ordered these because I love the look and thought this might happen, but I am keeping them. Some people say they are too long, one person said 1 1/2 inches. I wear an 8W but due to that review I ordered a 7 1/2W, and for me the width is fine, my foot almost goes to the end, an 8 would have been fine too, and another said it was to short??? Another said you can't adjust both straps. I can. One side has holes and the other side you can pull through the loop on the back of the shoe and go to the next hole on the other side, which I have done. That adjusts both straps. I love the shoe, I just wish my pants weren't so long so you can see the top strap which I think makes the look of the shoe. As far as I'm concerned the shoes are beautiful and I don't find a thing wrong that is due to the shoe. I just need to buy shorter pants. I give it 5 stars.

I ordered a size 6W, and appears to be a true 6W. I also have a wide foot that is now also chubby...something I can thank my middle age for. Anyways, the shoe is perfect; soft straps, comfortable from moment one. I saw an earlier review that the ankle straps were too small.....I don't agree. I have chubby ankles too and there is plenty of room. In addition, you can always add another hole in the strap if necessary, plenty of length. I did not need to and in fact went several holes in. I plan on ordering more, I love them!!!

This is my fourth pair of these sandals. They look just as good with rolled up jeans as they do with my work clothes. The heel is just right for all-day wear. I am a teacher and can wear these all day at work and don't need to change out of them when I get home. Love these!

I wanted to love these. They're a very flattering feminine style and the sole is comfortably padded and has plenty of good flex which I absolutely need. The suede was buttery too, just delicious to the touch. Downsides: the size 8 was huge on my foot. I wear an 8 W pretty reliably and these were literally an inch and a half too long when my heel was snugged to the back of the heel rest. There were also edges around the heel and sole where the outsole and wedge veneer rise to meet the suede and there were visible gaps which did not impress me as to how well they were made for the price they cost. The other thing for me personally was that the very cold tone pale brown of the suede was not flattering with my skin tone but that won't affect most people I'm sure. Anyway. wanted to love them. Didn't. Return!
