Very comfortable, perfect for bare feet. I normally wear a 11 1/2 US and ordered a 13 US after reading all the reviews advising to order larger - and the fit was perfect. I also encourage anyone to order a full size larger for this shoe.

The Ugg Ascot has in excess of 500 reviews. The essential rationale for that is literally the most comfortable shoe/slippers on the planet bar none. Everything about the Ascot is thoughtfully and skillfully designed and crafted from the supple sheepskin leather outer shoe/slipper to the luxuriously soft interior. It's sheer enjoyment to wear to the extent the comfort becomes an addiction. After wearing the Ascots, all other shoes feel inferior in every level of comfort. Even the rubber soles are prefect. I found myself making up excuses to wear them everywhere from basketball games to short shopping trips. There's no substitute. I admit it, I'm an addict. It's going to take more than a twelve step program to keep me out of them. One minor issue, please ensure to order a full size up from your normal size, and be prepared for the questions why you're in slippers.

I measured my husband's feet by taping together(vertical)two 8x10 sheets of copy paper, then having him stand at the end of the day, barefoot, while I traced each foot. Both feet are 10¾" long and at their widest point are 3¾". The heel, one inch up from the bottom (middle point) are 2½". Then I read reviews and no one mentioned their husband's (or their own) actual size as I am listing so I had to guess which to go with, an 11 or a 12D (Black leather Ascots). I finally decided that since he usually wears a 10½D in sneakers and moccasins often run a bit small, I would go with 11. (Zappos has a great return policy, so why not.) These were for his 50th birthday, Dec 17th, so before letting him try them on, I took each shoe out of the box, placed them over the drawing of each foot and voila, he had half an inch of wiggle room. Sure enough, they fit, he absolutely loves them, forgets he has them on and almost leaves the house in them. He wants them to last so he is wearing them indoors only. It is cold here in Utah; we have hardwood floors; he gets up early, walks and buses to/from work, stores, errands, so he is so happy; compliments me every day for getting them.

My husband wears a size 8 1/2 shoe. I ordered a 9. He could not get his foot in the shoe. Wish I had known this earlier....I would ordered a 10 1/2.

My son-in-law went "nuts" when we gave him these Uggs for his birthday...he said...Uggs? For me? My very own Uggs? (his wife and kids have "several" pair!). Anyway, I cannot think of one reason in the world why one would not shop at Zappos for any shoe ever made...they're all there to see; the shipping is free; they come almost overnight; returning is a snap; and, if they don't have your size you can get on a waitlist and they do let you know when they arrive. Trust me, I never shoe shop anywhere anymore but Zappos. My favorites...Ecco and Stuart Weitzman, to name a few. Do yourself a favor...relax and enjoy shopping at the best place right in your own home.
