I love these shoes! In August I had my first encounter with plantar fasciitis and was in nonstop pain for 9 months until I got these a few weeks ago. The orthopedic surgeon had me in a boot for five months after that it was sneakers with orthotics. Complete waste of time, totally useless and not a good look for the office. Then I found these. I have been pain free ever since. I recently found a wonderful foot doctor who was willing to listen and treat me properly - even he had wonderful things to say about how these are very well structured. He did say these are better made than the orthotics this company makes. I now have six pairs of these shoes to rotate. I will admit I was horrified the first time I put them on. They looked like surfboards on my feet. But with the way I felt I no longer cared what they looked like. I get compliments on them all the time. Full disclosure until my injury I only wore Italian shoes. I have thousands of dollars invested in my footwear which are now all boxed up waiting until I heal fully and can wear them again. I'm guessing it will be a year or more until that happens. As a side note one thing that has helped me a great deal is wearing a pair of these as house slippers. Doing that greatly reduced my foot pain - I have hardwood floors. Basically I always have a pair on. What I now need to do is figure out what cooler weather shoes they have that have this same footbead. It's been a chilly spring here and my toes have been cold. But once again I don't care my feet are pain free! Yippie!

This is my first review, because these are probably the most comfortable shoes/sandals I've ever worn. When I saw them in a store I didn't try them on because of the wide plank look. But I have problem feet and Aetrex gets good reviews. So I ordered from trusty Zappos and they don't have that plank look when wearing, in fact they're quite cute, especially in the bronze. I have a bunion, fallen arch, and soft tissue problems from a severe foot and ankle sprain a few years ago. Not only are these sandals comfortable, but they seem to be helping the foot overall. And they come in half sizes. I'm a true 8.5 and most 8s or 9s don't work.

Aetrex is my new favorite brand of shoe, and this style is one that I've really liked. It's a simpler, strappier style, not heavy-looking on the foot. I'm a size 8, so some of the styles do have a heavier look when I've tried them. I have high arches and plantar fasciitis and this sandal has been all-day comfortable.

Oh my . I can walk . I have been dealing with plantar fasciitis, tendinitis, arthritis and over pronation. Some days I walk with a cane and all days are painful . Granted I just got these shoes today and since I have put them on I have been able to walk !!! I would not take them off except I’m nearly ready for bed ! I love them - they are not ugly - they are completely adjustable as to the strap tightness and they are soft under my heels . I wear a 9.5 and they are true to size . I’m now shopping for more !
